The "Web Development Bootcamp" by Code Labs Academy guides you to full-stack web development. You choose full-time in 12 weeks or part-time in 24 weeks. Before the start, you receive pre-work via the learning platform. It explains how the web works. Along the way, you learn about the command line, Git, GitHub, and VS Code, including AI-assisted programming with GitHub Copilot.
In the frontend, you learn static websites with HTML and CSS, then JavaScript with ES6+, DOM, and advanced concepts. This is followed by Tailwind CSS and modern frontend with React, React Hooks, React Router, State Management, and Next.js. In the backend, you work with Node.js, TypeScript, Express.js, and NestJS. You build REST and GraphQL APIs, use MongoDB, and implement authentication and unit tests.
The last chapter covers Cloud Computing, Backend as a Service, Docker, and Microservices. Almost every chapter ends with a practical project, for example, a LeetCode clone or a Boilerplate CLI. This way, a portfolio gradually emerges that you can show in applications.
The course combines live sessions with self-study following the flipped classroom principle. In full-time, it's 22.5 hours live per week and approx. 17.5 hours of self-study. Monday to Friday, it runs from 9:30 to 15:30. In part-time, you plan 20 hours per week, of which 9 hours are live.
The bootcamp is aimed at beginners and career changers without prior knowledge of computer science. You need a computer, a stable internet connection, and basic computer skills. In addition, English at level B1 is required, because the entire course is in English.
Those who complete all tasks and projects receive a Certificate of Completion, otherwise there is a Certificate of Attendance. According to the provider, the certificate is AZAV-accredited. In Germany, the bootcamp can be funded via a Bildungsgutschein (education voucher).
At the end, there is a career service week with help on resume, cover letter, LinkedIn profile, and job interviews. Individual coaching with career advisors runs during the bootcamp and up to six months after completion.
