The "UX/UI & Product Design Bootcamp" from Code Labs Academy takes you from the basics to your own design projects. You learn to understand users, define problems, and develop product solutions from them. This includes user research, competitive analysis, personas, journey mapping, and UX strategy.
The UI part covers visual hierarchy, typography, color theory, layout, spacing, and responsive design. In Figma, you create user flows, low- and high-fidelity wireframes, interactive prototypes, reusable components, and design systems. Usability tests, heuristic evaluations, and accessibility reviews help you test and improve your designs.
A dedicated chapter connects design and code. You learn how the web works, get the basics of HTML and CSS, and use AI for research, ideation, and design exploration. This results in designs that developers can implement easily.
The bootcamp starts with a self-study preparation week. After that, you combine live instruction with self-study time based on the flipped classroom principle. In full-time mode, you plan for 40 hours per week, 22.5 of which are live. In part-time mode, it's 20 hours per week, 9 of which are live. The program concludes with a capstone project for your portfolio.
The offering is aimed at beginners and career changers without prior knowledge of computer science or programming. You need a computer, a stable internet connection, basic computer skills, and English skills at B1 level.
Anyone who completes all assignments and projects receives a Certificate of Completion. The provider describes its certificate as AZAV-accredited. Without meeting all requirements, there is a Certificate of Attendance.
The bootcamp includes a career service. At the end, there is a week in the Career Service Center with help on your resume, cover letter, LinkedIn profile, and job interviews. One-on-one sessions with career advisors are available during the course and up to six months after graduation.
