About this online course

Basic information

Financial accounting keeps track of a company's monetary and value flows. It documents these flows and evaluates them for analysis and planning. In financial accounting, you settle invoices and handle receivables.

You provide figures for calculations and evaluations. They are the basis for entrepreneurial decisions. You also supply the tax advisor with the relevant company figures.

In the course, you learn practical financial bookkeeping from document entry to the annual financial statement. There is also the use of ERP systems, without which bookkeeping is hardly conceivable anymore. You deal with cost accounting theoretically and practically.

DATEV appears in several modules. You learn how to use the program and carry out everyday tasks. You also practice fixed asset accounting with DATEV. You become familiar with the most important tax laws.

The course consists of six individual modules that build on one another. Full-time, it takes 18 weeks; part-time, 36 weeks. One module prepares you for the external examination.

The program is aimed at people with basic commercial training or several years of relevant professional experience. This means anyone seeking a responsible position in accounting. Requirements are a SEK I school-leaving certificate, good German language skills, and basic knowledge of PC operation, MS-Word, and MS-Excel.

You receive individual certificates for all modules. After passing the exam, you also receive the IHK Accounting Specialist certificate. In addition, there is the IBB Financial Accounting provider certificate. IBB will advise you on the requirements for the IHK qualification.
