About this online course

Basic information

Since February 2025, new regulations of the European AI Act have come into effect. Article 4 requires companies that use AI to have corresponding knowledge among their employees. This is exactly where the seminar comes in. It raises your awareness of opportunities, risks and requirements when dealing with AI.

The day starts with the basics. You receive a definition of terms, learn the levels of AI and see a historical overview of its development. Then it's about current applications in everyday life and work. Examples are voice assistants, recommendation systems on streaming services and chatbots in customer service.

A separate block covers data protection and GDPR in the context of AI. You learn the requirements for AI usage according to GDPR. This is accompanied by best practices for data protection-compliant use. Afterwards, it's about how current AI systems work. Machine learning, neural networks and the working method of models such as ChatGPT are covered.

The legal core follows after that. The EU AI Act is covered in overview, along with the obligations for companies and especially for SMEs. The training obligations for employees are a separate point. Ethical questions also come up, such as bias, transparency of AI decisions, as well as responsibility and liability.

At the end, you transfer what you have learned to your own work area. You identify possible fields of application for AI, assess opportunities and risks, and develop guidelines for responsible use.

Addressed are managers, project leaders, IT managers, data protection officers and compliance managers. Employees from specialist departments also fit the picture. It means everyone who evaluates, introduces or uses AI systems in their daily work.

The seminar runs live online on one day from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. A maximum of 8 participants are present. You receive Open Badges and a certificate; a classic certificate of participation as a PDF is also available. There is a performance guarantee; you can cancel or postpone up to 30 days before the start. The topic can also be booked as an in-house training for your team, on-site or live online.
