The online continuing education course "Digitale Produktion" from IU Akademie focuses on digital transformation in production companies. You make digital production the central element of value creation. Afterward, you give companies the tools for a connected, digitalized future.
The entry point is hybrid project management in digital transformation. You learn when to use agile and when to use classic project management principles. The second module is about smart product-service systems. You integrate them into digitalized individual solutions and develop suitable digital business models.
The third module gives you an overview of modern automation systems. You learn how to use them safely and efficiently. Finally, you deal with security in intelligent production. This includes quality in production and cyber security in robotics.
Learning is online, complemented by interactive digital group exchange. You can take exams online or on site. Full-time, the continuing education course lasts 4 months, part-time 8 months. If you pay yourself, you have 12 months of access and start in just 3 days.
According to IU Akademie, you do not need a specific degree. Good German skills at B2 level and a laptop with internet access are required. The course is suitable for anyone who wants to digitize and automate production processes. Afterwards, you will be in demand in industrial companies, manufacturers, logistics, or consulting firms.
At the end, you receive a continuing education certificate at university level. IU Akademie classifies the continuing education course as Master's level. Completed exams can be credited toward a degree at IU International University.
