AI Competence Mandatory Training

The mandatory AI competence training prepares you and your practice team for the use of AI. Since August 1, 2025, Article 4 of the EU AI Act requires operators of AI systems to be trained. This affects medical practices, MVZs, and practice networks that use AI in triage, image interpretation, documentation, or practice organization.

The workshop starts with AI basics and patient safety. You learn what an AI system according to the AI Act is and where its limits lie. Typical sources of errors such as bias, hallucinations, and deskilling get their own block.

The second part focuses on regulation, liability, and compliance. You go through the risk classes of AI systems and see the interfaces to MDR, MPBetreibV, and GDPR. Operator obligations, human oversight, as well as reporting and information obligations are also included.

Then it gets concrete. You take an AI inventory of your tools and work on the SOP for the use of AI on patients. Escalation rules for MFAs, secure data workflows, and dealing with Dr. ChatGPT are also covered. The last module covers the introduction of AI as a management task.

Addressed are practice owners, employed physicians, MFAs and ZFAs, as well as practice managers. The training is suitable for general and specialist practices, MVZs, and practice networks that use or want to introduce AI systems.

The workshop lasts 120 minutes. The fixed dates run as a live stream via Microsoft Teams; you receive the access link 48 hours beforehand by email. Additional dates are possible by arrangement in person or online. After the workshop, there is a learning success check. Each participating person receives a personalized certificate in accordance with Article 4 of the AI Act; CME points are applied for at the BLÄK.
