One focus is on the legal guardrails. You get an overview of the EU AI Act, i.e., the AI Act, and the EU GDPR. This covers limits and guidelines for legally compliant AI use. Participation fulfills the documentation requirement according to Article 4 of the AI Act for documenting AI competence.
The third block focuses on strategic planning and implementation. You practice selecting suitable application areas and defining goals clearly. Stakeholder management, project planning, approval processes, and organizational interfaces are also part of it. So afterward you know how an AI project realistically starts in a government agency.
In the practical part, you get an overview of AI tools in the administrative context. You compare implementation concepts, i.e., the top-down versus the bottom-up approach. In an exercise, you develop an AI code of conduct for authorities. At the end is the creation of practical guidelines for safe and responsible use.
The training lasts one day and runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. That is eight teaching units of 45 minutes each, including breaks. In open training sessions, a maximum of eight people learn together. You choose between the in-person training in a medienreich training room and the live online training. Both formats deliberately run separately; there are no hybrid courses.
The target audience is employees and professionals from the public sector. Managers and decision-makers in authorities and administration are also addressed. You do not need any special prior knowledge. Honestly, I find that pleasantly accessible for a topic with so much legal relevance.
