The two-day online seminar on artificial intelligence in administration builds up your basic understanding of the technology step by step. It connects theory directly with application examples from the administrative field. The goal is that you can assess the opportunities and risks of AI.
At the beginning are the concepts and definitions of artificial intelligence. After that, it's about the AI workflow and the technical basics. You see how a system works from data collection through training to the finished output.
A large block revolves around generative AI and large language models. You learn about their functionality, possible applications, and limitations. In addition, there is prompt technology, i.e., the question of how to formulate prompts effectively. Generators for text, image, and design are presented, for example, nele.ai.
The legal and ethical part examines the moral and societal questions surrounding AI. The EU AI Act is explained as European regulation, including categorization and control of AI systems. Additionally, it covers the specifics of public administration, i.e., regulations, guidelines, and the accompanying cultural change.
The format is deliberately interactive. Trainer input alternates with group work, exercises, discussions, and case studies. Successful projects and pilot projects from administration are presented. The seminar runs over two days, each from 08:00 to 15:00 via Zoom. The virtual training room opens 15 minutes before the start.
Addressed are managers and all other interested parties. You need a stable internet connection and a switched-on camera; two monitors are recommended. At the end, you receive a qualified participation certificate. In addition, there are seminar materials for download and a collection of resources and links.
