The seminar "Datenschutz-Grundlagen" introduces you to current data protection law. The basis is the Federal Data Protection Act (new BDSG) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation. You learn when the collection, processing and use of personal data is permitted. Transparency obligations and documentation duties are also discussed.
One block focuses on the rights of data subjects, i.e. customers and employees. You see what design options exist for consent declarations. Outsourcing and contract data processing are also covered, as are basic IT knowledge and the fundamentals of data security.
Employee data protection is discussed for private and public-sector employers. Also covered is data protection regarding private use of company email and internet. The relationship between data protection and the works council or staff council is a separate topic.
You learn about the tasks and appointment of the company or public authority data protection officer. The list of processing activities, prior check and data protection impact assessment are also on the agenda. Finally, technical and organizational security as well as fines and powers of the supervisory authority are covered.
The training lasts one day with seven hours. The trainers convey the content through lectures, supplemented by group discussions. Cegos Integrata advertises the seminar as a live online or face-to-face seminar. The two available dates run as live online training.
The target group is broad. Data protection officers, executives, HR managers, and works councils are addressed. Also IT managers, auditors, and all interested employees are welcome. The provider does not require any special prior knowledge.
