The GDPR update for data protection officers is a compact live online seminar from IHK Trier. It keeps your knowledge of data protection up to date. Data protection law is complex and subject to annual changes.
In terms of content, it covers current information on the GDPR, the BDSG and other relevant laws. You receive tips and software that simplify your work as a data protection officer. Current risks and actions from companies, authorities and institutions are also covered.
From practice, current examples for problem solving and best practices are presented. You receive templates for legally compliant implementation in the company, authority or institution. A separate block deals with penalties and the punishment of data protection violations in Germany and the EU.
The view also extends beyond the EU. The seminar shows the development of data protection in other countries and derives developments for the EU from this. Excursions into IT security, fire protection and occupational safety take up topics that repeatedly cross the path of data protection officers.
The course takes place completely live online. All course dates are made available as recordings for review. The interactive live teaching brings you together with other participants so that you can exchange experiences from everyday practice.
The seminar is aimed at data protection officers and anyone who needs current knowledge of data protection and the GDPR. Basic knowledge of data protection is required. At the end, a certificate of participation is issued. IHK Trier recommends the seminar as a follow-up continuing education course to the certificate course Company Data Protection Officer (IHK).
