The continuing education course "Wirtschaftsfachwirt IHK" from IFF Akademie prepares you for the IHK exam to become a certified Wirtschaftsfachwirt. You acquire cross-industry business administration knowledge for trade, industry, and services. Afterwards, you take on demanding commercial tasks and management responsibility in middle management.
The course covers two areas. The business-related qualifications include business administration and economics, accounting, as well as law and taxes, plus corporate management. The action-specific qualifications cover operational management, investment and financing, logistics, marketing, sales, as well as personnel management and collaboration. Optionally, you can also take the trainer aptitude exam AEVO.
You choose between a full-time course and several part-time models. The full-time course lasts three to four months, with classes Monday to Friday. Part-time options include evening, Saturday, mix, or shift schedule courses with a duration of six to seventeen months. Classes are hybrid; you decide daily between in-person attendance and livestream.
In-person sessions take place in Cologne, Düsseldorf, Dortmund, and Duisburg. The target group is professionals from trade, industry, and services aiming to move up to middle management. The prerequisite is a completed commercial or administrative vocational training with at least one year of professional experience. Alternatively, at least three years of relevant professional experience without appropriate training is sufficient.
At the end, you take the official IHK exam and receive the title Geprüfte:r Wirtschaftsfachwirt:in (IHK). During the course, you receive free weekend tutoring and a five-day exam preparation week. Additionally, IFF Akademie lends you a tablet or notebook for the continuing education course.
