The retraining program to become an IT specialist for application development lasts two years in accordance with IHK guidelines. You start your studies with the basics of information technology, network technology, and the installation and configuration of server systems. After that, programming, databases and SQL, data modeling, and IT service management are added. In the third and fourth semesters, you will cover IT security, advanced programming, project management, presentation techniques, and application design. Business and social studies, as well as mathematics for IT specialists, accompany you throughout.
The lessons are held live with experienced instructors from the field. At twelve locations, goldsteps also offers the retraining program as in-person classes. The locations are Bremen, Osnabrück, Hanover, Bielefeld, Berlin, Münster, Detmold, Dortmund, Essen, Moers, Cologne, and Munich. Block lessons take place Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The internship-accompanying instruction takes place twice a week during the same time slot.
