The IHK certificate course "Fachkraft für Supply-Chain-Management (IHK)" is an interactive course offered by thekey.academy in cooperation with IHK-Projektgesellschaft mbH Ostbrandenburg. It is modular and covers the basics and modern approaches in supply chain management across ten topic modules. The course concludes with the IHK performance assessment.
In terms of content, you start with the processes and structures of global supply chains. Then you look at the network of suppliers, producers, trade, customers, as well as transport and warehouse logistics. Next are supply chain regulations, ethical standards, and compliance strategies. Sustainability is a recurring theme throughout the entire course.
Further on, the focus is on technology and innovation, namely artificial intelligence, blockchain, and strategic data management. In strategic stakeholder management, you learn how to resolve conflicts and advance sustainability initiatives. Risk management, supply chain security, KPI management, and circular economy round out the content.
The process is 100 percent digital. There are no webinars and no live sessions, so no deadline or time pressure. The course is divided into modules, lessons, and building blocks. Following the principle of bite-sized learning, no lesson lasts longer than ten minutes. The building blocks range from videos, images, and texts to interactive question elements.
The learning concept only unlocks the next lesson once you have completed the previous one. This way, you work your way from the big picture to the specific. Intermediate test lessons prepare you for the final exam. These intermediate tests are structured exactly like the IHK performance assessment, only shorter.
There are no content-related prerequisites, because each course begins with explanations of terms. You can repeat each lesson as often as you like. This way, even participants who are unfamiliar with the topic can get through the content at their own pace.
Technically, you need a desktop computer, a tablet, or a smartphone with the free mobile app. At least one of these devices is mandatory. The last lesson is the IHK performance assessment, which also takes place in the app. After passing the exam, you receive your IHK certificate from IHK-Projektgesellschaft mbH.
