The continuing education "SAP User: Materials Management (MM) with SD" combines two areas. You learn purchasing management 4.0 and the SAP processes for procurement and sales. The logistics chain starts with purchasing. Materials and services must be available on time. That's exactly what you use SAP MM for.
The first part revolves around operational and strategic purchasing. You deal with digitalization in purchasing and with procurement marketing. Strategic analyses such as ABC and XYZ analysis are part of it. Also request for quotation, tender, and bid analysis are on the agenda. One block covers concrete AI technologies in the professional environment.
After that, it's about supplier selection and supply chain management. You learn about risk assessment, supplier audits, and portfolio analyses. Price structure, value analyses, and cost accounting methods form a separate section. For contractual agreements, it's about price escalation clauses and bonus agreements. Law in purchasing, data protection, and purchasing controlling round off the part.
The SAP part starts with an overview of SAP S/4HANA. You work with navigation, SAP Fiori, and SAP Business Client. The business processes in Sourcing and Procurement as well as in Sales follow. The purchasing block covers sources of supply, conditions, and document release procedures. Finally, consumption-based planning with planning run and forecast comes.
The lessons take place live with a lecturer via the video technology alfaview®. You learn either from home or at the local education center. The course lasts 12 weeks full-time. Lessons are Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 3:35 PM. In weeks with public holidays, it goes until 5:10 PM. The courses usually consist of 6 to 25 participants.
The course is aimed at people who are looking for a qualification in the purchasing area. Good English skills are recommended. You are directly connected to the servers of SAP Germany. Learning is done on the original SAP training system IDES in the current version. The SAP lecturers are qualified SAP consultants.
At the end, there are practical project work with final presentations. You receive the certificate "Purchasing Management 4.0 with TÜV Rheinland certified qualification". In addition, the original SAP user certificate with the certification UC_MM_S42023 comes. I find the combination of purchasing methodology and SAP practice most exciting. You gather the methodological knowledge and practice it directly in the system.
