The course starts with the fundamentals of supply chain management. You clarify the importance of the supply chain and the flow of goods, information, and finances. Then you go through the core principles of SCM. A separate section is dedicated to the development of SCM, including evolution, trends, and technologies.
The second block covers the SCM process landscape. You get an overview of the processes and work your way into process optimization. Best practices in SCM round off this part. According to the provider, the focus is on procurement, production, distribution, and return.
The third block revolves around the ERP system landscape for SCM. You get an introduction to ERP systems and see how SCM can be integrated into SAP. Then you practice the SAP application using practical examples and process optimization.
The instruction takes place as live online teaching with individual support, called LOU!S at bfz. A female or male instructor teaches in a virtual classroom, for example via Microsoft Teams or Vitero. To participate, you use the technical equipment at your bfz location. Learning process advisors on site support you throughout the entire training period.
The course comprises 100 teaching units and runs for two weeks full-time. It is designed as a group measure and has fixed start dates. Do you want to learn from home? For this, you need the approval of your funding provider.
The course is aimed at job seekers, employees, skilled workers, people returning to work, individuals with a professional qualification, and companies. Good German language skills at level B2 and basic English skills are required. Training or a degree in the commercial, economic, technical, logistics, or IT field is also necessary.
As types of completion, bfz lists a bfz certificate, a faw certificate, a certificate from cooperation partners, and a certificate of participation. After the course, you will be familiar with coordinating complex supply chains.
