Basic information

The online seminar "Grundlagen der PR" is a compact introduction to public relations. It runs on one day from 10:00 to 14:00. You don't need any prior knowledge for this.

In terms of content, the seminar starts with the historical development and the importance of public relations. Then it covers central principles, goals, and fields of activity of PR work. A separate section distinguishes PR from advertising and marketing.

A focus is on planning. You get a step-by-step guide to developing a PR plan, from idea to implementation. In addition, the instructor introduces you to research and documentation tools that you can use directly.

The schedule mixes online lecture, practical examples, and interactive exercises. Discussion rounds provide perspective changes and experience exchange. In a Q&A session, you clarify your individual questions with the seminar leader.

The target group is PR newcomers and interested parties who are dealing with public relations for the first time. Also addressed are volunteers, trainees, career changers, and young professionals. Those planning a career entry into PR also fit into the group.

After successful participation, you receive a certificate from the Deutsche Presseakademie. The groups are limited to a maximum of 12 participants. You can participate location-independently via MS Teams or Zoom. The seminar is led by Nina Claudy, PR consultant and course director at depak.
