The "Projektmanager IHK" is an IHK certificate course by HKBiS, the Handelskammer Hamburg Bildungs-Service gemeinnützige GmbH. You learn to systematically plan, manage, and control projects from the initial idea to completion. You use classic, agile, or hybrid methods, depending on what suits your project.
Content-wise, it covers project goals, clarification of the assignment, and the creation of a work breakdown structure. This is complemented by scheduling, milestones, as well as capacity and cost planning. Another block focuses on teamwork: project roles, team phases, and task distribution according to the push and pull principle. This is supplemented by stakeholder analysis, communication in the project environment, and dealing with typical project risks.
The course runs over 50 teaching hours, spread across five in-person days from 09:00 to 17:00. The location is CAMPUS75 by HKBiS in Hamburg city center. You work with practical case studies, exercises, and your own project case study, which you present on the last day of the course.
The target audience includes professionals, project team members, team coordinators, junior managers, and aspiring project managers who want to take on responsibility in projects. You do not need any prior knowledge of project management. The course is suitable for beginners as well as for participants with initial project experience.
To obtain the IHK certificate, you must attend at least 80 percent of the teaching units. As proof of performance, you give a 40-minute final presentation on the last day. Afterwards, you receive a nationally recognized IHK certificate, both digital and printed.
The course is part of the IHK certificate program "Projektleiter IHK", which consists of "Projektmanager IHK" and "Projektteams leiten IHK". If you complete both courses, you automatically receive the "Projektleiter IHK" certificate as well. As a loyalty bonus, you additionally get a 10 percent discount on the second course.
