The retraining "Fachinformatiker/-in Systemintegration (IHK)" at COMCAVE.COLLEGE takes approx. 24 months. It prepares you for the final examination at the IHK. The classes are instructor-led and live on campus. At selected locations, you can use an e-learning component for almost half of the class time.
Content-wise, you cover a broad field: systems engineering, network and telecommunications technology, as well as procedural and object-oriented programming. In addition, there are databases, quality management, IT security and data protection. Project management, technical English and industry-specific ERP software round off the basic qualification. The final part is a job-specific specialist qualification in system integration with your own project work.
A practical phase in a company of at least six months is firmly scheduled. There you apply what you have learned directly in the company before taking the IHK exam. For exercises and revision, you use the simpleclub learning platform with an integrated AI tutor.
The retraining is aimed at you if you want to make a fresh start professionally. It is suitable after completed vocational training, a discontinued degree program or with sufficient professional experience in the IT field. Good German skills, basic knowledge of English and basic PC skills are required. Before acceptance, you must pass an internal selection procedure in a subject-specific interview with at least "well suited".
At the end is the IHK qualification as a Fachinformatiker or Fachinformatikerin for system integration. Depending on location and performance, you can earn additional certificates, such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, LPIC Level 1, Microsoft Azure or a SCRUM certification.
What is special is the job guarantee. If you pass the retraining on the first attempt with at least "satisfactory", a job awaits. Amadeus Fire AG then offers you an unlimited employment contract as a temporary worker. Through a cooperation with PFH Göttingen, one semester can be credited towards the bachelor's degree program in Business Information Systems after completion. I find this combination of job security and study option unusually strong for a pure retraining program.
