The Cybersecurity Bootcamp by Code Labs Academy introduces you to IT security without prior knowledge of computer science or programming. It is divided into a Pre-Work and four chapters. You first learn the basics, then attack and defense, and finally specializations and a final project.
In the Pre-Work, you set up your own lab with virtualization, Kali or Parrot Linux, and vulnerable VMs. You practice the Linux command line, Python, Bash, Git, networking basics, and first steps in C. This part is self-paced; the team helps you with planning.
After that, it covers security principles such as CIA, Zero Trust, and STRIDE. In addition, frameworks like NIST CSF 2.0, ISO 27001, and GDPR are covered. In the Red Team chapter, you learn penetration testing from reconnaissance to reporting, including OWASP Top 10 (2025) and Active Directory attacks. In the Blue Team chapter, you work with SIEM systems such as Splunk, Elastic, and Microsoft Sentinel, with threat hunting, forensics, and malware analysis. The last chapter covers cloud security, DevSecOps, as well as AI and LLM security, and prepares you for certifications and job interviews.
The classes are held live online using the flipped classroom method. In full-time, there are 22.5 hours of live instruction and 17.5 hours of self-study per week. In part-time, there are 9 hours of live instruction and 11 hours of self-study. Several chapters end with a practical project for your portfolio.
The bootcamp is aimed at beginners and career changers who want to switch into cybersecurity. The language of instruction is English; level B1 is required. You need a computer with at least 16 GB RAM, 512 GB storage, and a Core i5 processor.
Those who complete all assignments and projects receive a Certificate of Completion; otherwise, a Certificate of Attendance. The certificate is AZAV-accredited. In addition, career counseling, application training, and mock interviews are included, even up to six months after graduation.
