In the retraining program "Kauffrau, Kaufmann im E-Commerce (IHK)" you deal with processes in online retail. You evaluate and select online sales channels and implement them. You also design service and product ranges for e-commerce. You shape customer communication and prepare measures in online marketing. Initiating and processing online contracts is also among your future tasks.
The course starts with basic qualification in IT, information processing and office management. This is followed by the core qualification covering the topics of human resources, e-commerce processes, marketing as well as cost and performance accounting. A practical phase in a company lasting at least six months follows. At the end, you prepare intensively for the IHK exam. Classes are instructor-led on campus; at selected locations, an e-learning component of up to half the time is possible.
The retraining program is for you if you have completed vocational training. Sufficient professional experience in the commercial or industrial-technical field or a university degree also count. You can also participate as a rehabilitation participant. COMCAVE expects good German language skills in spoken and written form, basic IT knowledge and an affinity for the commercial field. An internal selection process with a specialist interview checks whether the retraining program suits you.
At the end of the retraining program, you will have an IHK qualification. In addition, you will receive a provider certificate from COMCAVE. Depending on the location and performance, you can acquire further certificates. These include the European Computer Driving Licence ICDL, an SAP certificate, a SCRUM certificate and the TOEIC language certificate for business English.
I find the cooperation with PFH Göttingen practical. After the retraining program, one semester can be credited towards the Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
