About this online course

Basic information

The EU AI Act requires operators of AI systems to ensure a sufficient level of AI literacy in the team. This also applies in dentistry. Medical and dental practices as well as MVZs are considered operators as soon as they use AI under their own responsibility. This is exactly where this training course comes in.

In two hours, you will classify AI applications from everyday treatment and practice. Topics covered include documentation, diagnostics, dental radiological image analysis, treatment planning, telemonitoring, and practice software. A separate block addresses medical devices in the MDR context, i.e., classes IIa to III.

The process starts with an overview of the AI Act and the significance of Art. 4. Then you clarify the roles of provider and deployer, the basic obligations, and the risk classes. Next come AI literacy and human oversight in everyday practice, followed by QM, liability, and documentation. Finally, there are practical cases and room for your questions.

The training course is aimed at dental practices and MVZs. It addresses practice owners, managers, and practice management. It also includes dentists, dental assistants (ZFA), and other healthcare professionals who work with AI systems. It is also suitable if you have hardly used AI so far and are only planning its use.

All participants receive a personalized certificate for the training on Art. 4 of the EU AI Act. It is suitable for filing in the QM system and for internal documentation of personnel and organizational obligations. It also prepares you for external audits.

In addition, you will receive training materials that you can continue to use internally. Template modules and tips help you integrate them into your QM system. The sessions run online via Microsoft Teams. You can request a consultation or a desired appointment from the provider.
