The live online certificate course "KI-HR-Manager/-in (IHK)" from IHK Düsseldorf offers you a practical introduction to the use of AI in HR. The course teaches its knowledge in a total of eight modules. The goal is that you, as an HR professional, are prepared in terms of content and strategy for the current and future developments in AI.
The first module covers the basics. You look at where AI actually begins behind software, digitalization, and ChatGPT. Machine learning, deep learning, and rule-based systems are distinguished from each other. There are also ethical guidelines for the introduction of AI.
Then it gets practical. In hands-on training, you work with case studies and use AI tools for text analysis and chatbots. No-code and low-code solutions for HR are a separate topic, supplemented by practical examples from the company. The recruiting module covers automated resume analysis, applicant screening, AI-supported interviews, and voice analyses. You practice specifically adjusting AI outputs.
Further modules focus on AI in HR controlling and in personnel development. They cover AI-supported workforce planning as well as forecasts for turnover and absenteeism. Predictive analytics for career development, personalized learning platforms, adaptive learning systems, and AI-supported competency analyses round off this part.
Two modules are dedicated to legal issues. You deal with the significance of the AI regulation for companies. In addition, there are the handling of personal data and the question of an AI officer. In labor law, it covers the co-determination rights of the works council, AGG-based selection procedures, and the fairness of results.
The course runs entirely as an online event over eleven dates between September 23, 2026 and December 12, 2026. The weekday dates are in the evening, usually from 5:00 PM to 8:15 PM. The four Saturday dates go from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. In total, there are 50 teaching hours plus the final exam. The course is taught by a trainer team consisting exclusively of experienced trainers.
The continuing education program is aimed at HR professionals at various levels who deal with artificial intelligence. It also fits if you first want to understand what concrete application possibilities can look like. At the end, you develop a presentation on AI strategy in HR and present it. For the IHK certificate, you need 80 percent attendance. You must pass the final test with at least 50 percent.
