The Steinbeis IFEM leadership development program combines four modules totaling eight days. An integrated approach links leadership theory with practical exercises and personal coaching. Professional coaches also support you with your individual challenges as a leader.
In the "Leading Effectively" module, you work with the BPS system, short for Business Professionals Skills. You reflect on your own strengths and weaknesses as a leader and develop strategies to lead more efficiently. Case studies and group work deepen what you have learned. The result is an individual action plan for your day-to-day leadership.
In the "Persuasive Presenting" module, you learn how to structure presentations clearly and actively engage your audience. You practice building arguments and interactive presentation techniques in small groups. Individual feedback on your performance rounds off the module.
In the "Conflict Management" module, you explore theories and models of conflict resolution. In role plays and case studies, you practice recognizing conflicts in the team early on and resolving them constructively. Communication techniques help you promote positive collaboration in the team.
In the "Project Management" module, you receive an introduction to the fundamentals, processes, and the seven methodologies of project implementation. You practice planning, control, and team leadership in projects using case studies. At the end, you develop your own project plan under guidance.
The program is aimed at specialists and managers, HR developers, and aspiring leaders. Each module offers several dates per year, either as an in-person session at the Augsburg Technology Center or as an online live seminar. This way, you meet new participants in every session, for example from Frankfurt, Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, and Stuttgart.
After successful completion, you receive the Steinbeis certificate with credit points, which can be credited toward Master's and MBA degree programs. You choose between a practical final exam with live consultation or an oral exam. Personal coaching, a book on the seminar topic, and a diagnostic test of your leadership style are already included in the price.
