About this online course

Basic information

The Practice-Intensive Seminar Active Sourcing consists of four online modules. You learn how to actively search for and approach suitable employees. The provider assumes that companies currently only use about 20 percent of the labor market. This seminar is designed to close exactly this gap. You can book the modules individually or together.

Module 1 starts with the challenges in the talent market and trends in recruiting. You check the career pages of the participating companies together. Then it moves on to optimizing job postings and the appropriate job title. Finally, the basics of active sourcing are on the agenda, including the question of the legal situation.

Module 2 is the practical start with XING. You practice searching on your own ads and learn about Boolean search. Talent search engines and the use of ChatGPT are also covered. Module 3 transfers the whole thing to LinkedIn, Experteer, and sources like Github or Stack Overflow.

Module 4 revolves around addressing latent applicants. You learn how to recognize willingness to change jobs and how many responses you can expect. The secret of successful outreach is taught in practical exercises. At the end, there is a summary and ten sourcing tips.

Work is done with trainer input, practical examples, and checklists. Between the modules, there are trial phases that you carry out on your own. You are allowed to bring your own case studies and open questions. Your company-specific challenges are discussed and you receive a short consultation.

You don't need any prior knowledge. Technically, a computer with webcam and microphone and a good internet connection are sufficient. A XING Premium Account and a LinkedIn Basic Account are required. The provider sets up the LinkedIn account on request during the training. An Active Sourcing Check runs online beforehand.

The content is based on ICR's own studies, in which more than 1300 active sourcers have participated. The speaker is Wolfgang Brickwedde, Director of ICR. The seminar is also offered as an in-house version for individual companies.
