The online continuing education course "Wirtschaftsspanisch" teaches you professional Spanish for everyday international business. You already need good basic knowledge of Spanish, as the university course specifically builds on your linguistic expression skills. Upon completion, you will reach a language level corresponding to level B1/2 of the Common European Framework.
In the first study booklets, you set up a virtual franchise company and practically train your language skills in trade. The following booklets deepen your knowledge using various key topics of the Spanish economy, such as current newspaper articles. In parallel, you practice listening comprehension, work through introductory business texts, and consolidate vocabulary and grammar.
Learning content includes business dialogues, vocabulary and grammar exercises, as well as a vocabulary trainer with a short grammar reference for quick lookup. Oral and written assignments are reviewed by your tutor. Additionally, you can test your speaking skills by phone.
The study material includes 12 study booklets: three booklets on Spanish business correspondence, six booklets on Wirtschaftsspanisch, and three booklets for final training. The first nine booklets contain audio files, the last three an audio CD. In addition, there is an exercise grammar book and a dictionary. You can also find the audio files in MP3 format on the online campus.
The course has a standard duration of 9 months and can be extended by5 months free of charge. You can start the course at any time, and there is no numerus clausus (NC).
After successfully completing8 submitted assignments, you will receive your university certificate. If you also pass an exam, your certificate will also show the16 credits earned. You can have these credits credited towards a later university degree program.
