About this online course

Basic information

Key account managers take care of a company's most important customers. In this continuing education course at Karriere Tutor, you'll learn how to nurture and expand exactly these customer relationships. I think the mix of sales strategy, numbers, and rhetoric is a clever choice for making the leap into account management.

The first module covers sales management. You develop sales strategies, define sales processes, and learn customer acquisition along with customer value analysis. You also organize direct customer contact, conduct negotiations, and recruit new sales employees. Integrated CRM systems and the use of big data round out your sales controlling.

The second module teaches you the fundamentals of business administration. You deal with annual financial statements, analyze business transactions, and calculate cash flow. Cost and performance accounting, contribution margin accounting, and profit center accounting are also part of it, as is a look at insolvency law.

The third module trains your communication skills. You use feedback as a tool, conduct conversations in a corporate context, and prepare presentations professionally. Nonverbal communication, dealing with stage fright, and self-motivation are also on the agenda.

Classes take place on weekdays with a clear daily structure. Theory and practical exercises alternate. In the full-time model, you have classes from 8:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., in exceptional cases starting at 8:00 a.m. In part-time, classes run from 8:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This doubles the total duration to 28 weeks. You set your start date together with Karriere Tutor in a consultation session.

The continuing education course is aimed at people from all fields. You should have completed vocational training or a degree and be confident using a computer. With a Bildungsgutschein (education voucher) from the Agentur für Arbeit, participation is often completely free. If you are already employed, it's worth taking a look at the Qualification Opportunities Act together with your employer.

At the end of the continuing education course, you will receive your certificate from Karriere Tutor. I think it's good that everything runs completely online, yet you have over 70 locations in Germany available to you. Currently, 1,411 participants rate Karriere Tutor with 4.6 out of 5 stars, which speaks to the quality of the support.
