How does Babbel work?

Babbel is based on scientifically proven learning methods that optimally challenge your brain. Instead of bombarding you with grammar rules, the app uses the principle of context-based learning. This means: You always learn new words and sentences in everyday situations that you can really use – from visiting a café to a business meeting. Below, Babbel's learning methods are explained in more detail.

1. Selecting a course

When you start learning a new language with Babbel, you are first suggested to determine your language level. If you don't determine the language level, you automatically start at A1. But you can also switch the course and thus the language level at any time. The courses are organized by language level. Grammar, listening and speaking, but also application such as e.g. in business.
