About this online course

Basic information

You will gain knowledge about the functions and workflows necessary for correct payroll calculations. You will be systematically introduced to the most important program functions and evaluation options.

Using a prepared sample case, you will independently follow the individual steps of the payroll calculation on the PC in the DATEV program. The instructor will show you the work steps for correctly creating the payroll, and you will also practice independently, including on short-time work allowance (KUG).

Topics include setting up company and employee master data as well as maintaining health insurance master data. In addition, there is payroll accounting for salaried and hourly employees as well as individual accounting for mini-jobs. The month-end closing, wage tax declaration, and electronic data transmission to the DATEV data center are also part of the program.

The training is aimed at payroll accountants, HR clerks, tax clerks, and returnees who want to take over payroll accounting via DATEV in the future. You should bring basic knowledge of wage tax and social security law, as the course focuses on the practical operation of the software.
