The online continuing education course "French Online Courses" from Live French consists of live one-on-one lessons with a native-speaking teacher. Sessions run via Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Google Meet, optionally also by phone. You decide the time, focus, and length of each session.
Four course variants are available. Conversation is aimed at levels B1 to C2 and trains free speaking. French for Beginners builds the foundation from scratch or after a break. Business French prepares you for meetings, emails, and business trips. The DELF and DALF preparation trains the four skills for the official exams from France Éducation International.
Each lesson lasts 30 or 45 minutes; you can mix both lengths. 30-minute lessons fit well into full workdays. 45-minute lessons offer more room for conversation, exam practice, and grammar. You book your lessons yourself in the member area, Monday to Sunday from 5 a.m. to midnight CET.
The courses are aimed at expats in France and professionals taking on a French-speaking position. Students who need DELF or DALF for university are also part of the target group. Travelers with a longer stay in French-speaking regions and returnees after a learning break will find suitable lessons here.
There is no fixed curriculum. Your teacher builds the plan around your level, your goal, and your everyday situations. Live French does not issue its own completion certificate. In the DELF and DALF preparation, you train for the official exam; the exam diploma itself is not included in the course.
Each lesson package includes a free spot in the Live French Club, a weekly group conversation session with other learners. Plus, you get access to the Médiathèque, a library of learning resources for independent practice. Before purchasing, you can try a free 30-minute trial lesson, completely without a credit card.
