Effective office management often determines how smoothly a company runs. In this continuing education course at Karriere Tutor, you learn exactly the skills that count in everyday office life. I think the mix of time management, soft skills, and MS Office practice is cleverly chosen for starting out or refreshing your secretarial skills.
The first module focuses on self-management and time management. You work with proven models and observe your own time behavior very closely. From this, you develop soft skills for personality management, organize your workspace better, and understand how mindset and success are connected. You also specifically address potential success risks.
In the second module, things get practical with MS Outlook. You edit, send, and recall emails, insert hyperlinks and mentions, and manage contacts along with contact groups. Additionally, you group emails by conversation and keep track of appointments and tasks.
The third module is about MS Word Advanced. You create document templates, work on outlines and text editing, and design the layout of your documents. You insert graphics, illustrations, and forms yourself. You also practice collaborating on documents with your team.
The lessons take place on weekdays with a clear daily structure, alternating between theory and practical exercises. In the full-time model, you have class from 8:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. In part-time, class runs from 8:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This doubles the total duration to 8 weeks. You decide your exact start date together with Karriere Tutor during the consultation; a quick start is usually possible.
The continuing education course is aimed at people from all fields; you should have completed vocational training or a degree. Participation is often completely free via the Bildungsgutschein (education voucher) from the Federal Employment Agency. If you are already employed, it's worth checking out the Qualification Opportunities Act together with your employer. At the end of the course, you will receive your certificate from Karriere Tutor.
I think it's good that the course runs completely online. However, over 70 locations in Germany are still open to you if you prefer to learn there. Currently, 1,394 participants rate Karriere Tutor with 4.6 out of 5 stars, which speaks for the quality of the support.
