The partial qualification 1 for IT Application Developer (TQ1) at Limani Akademie is a six-month full-time retraining program. It prepares you for the competency level of the IHK extended final exam part 1. The online retraining is AZAV-certified and runs entirely live online.
The course content covers twelve modules. These include IT areas of application, IT systems and operating systems, networks, as well as data modeling and databases. This is followed by programming with Java, object-oriented software development, and software development processes. Additional topics are user interfaces with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, IT security and data protection, as well as testing and quality assurance. The course concludes with project management and documentation, plus a final project with IHK part 1 preparation.
Classes take place Monday through Friday, each with eight teaching units per day as live online instruction. All sessions are recorded so you can catch up or review content. You work on practical tasks in supervised practice phases, and projects are carried out in teams.
The target group is career changers with basic IT knowledge, ideally after the IT application developer preparatory course. People returning to work and job seekers with an interest in IT are also a good fit for the course. Prerequisites include German language skills at B2 level and your willingness to learn full-time for six months.
At the end, you receive the AZAV-certified certificate from Limani Akademie for partial qualification 1 for IT Application Developer. The actual IHK certification is completed separately at the chamber. The qualification is aligned with the framework curriculum and IHK exam content.
A special feature is the continuous support from the same certified IT engineer from the preparatory course through to completion. You work on a real team project from data modeling to user interface, rather than purely textbook examples. The course starts only after ten firm enrollments and has a maximum of twenty participants.
