The continuing education "Spezialist für Finanzbuchführung mit DATEV" qualifies you to independently take responsibility in financial accounting. You will become familiar with the DATEV software. The focus is on daily accounting work with the program.
Content-wise, you start with the concept of DATEV eG and with company formation. Then follow client master data maintenance, the posting rules, and the legal regulations. You record postings for incoming and outgoing invoices and create balance carryforward postings.
In the further course, you create an opening balance sheet and post input tax and sales tax. Also dunning procedures, payment list, cash postings, and bank postings are on the schedule. The monthly closing sets the final point.
The course runs 16 weeks full-time or 32 weeks part-time. There are fixed start dates, the next one is 07.09.2026 full-time. Participation is possible at a location or from home.
Addressed are skilled and assistant workers with basic knowledge and initial experience in financial accounting. You need basic commercial knowledge, user knowledge of PC and MS Office, and German at level B2. The IBB advises you on individual requirements in a personal conversation.
After passing the exam, you receive the Datev-Zertifikat Finanzbuchführung. In addition, there is an internal provider certificate or a certificate of participation. According to IBB, there are currently many job postings for qualified specialists in financial accounting.
A special feature is the funding. Up to 100 percent is possible according to the provider, for example via the Bildungsgutschein (education voucher). The IBB advises on this in a free appointment and guarantees a course start.
