The e-learning course "KI-Kompetenz für Mitarbeitende" from TÜV NORD Akademie is aimed at all those who work with artificial intelligence in their job or plan to do so. You build knowledge, confidence, and trust in dealing with AI: You understand how AI works, where its use offers real added value, and where its limits lie. This allows you to critically question AI results, better assess risks, and make well-founded decisions.
After an introduction, Module 1 starts with the basics of artificial intelligence. It provides an overview of types of AI and how they work, distinguishes between automation, machine learning, and generative AI, and explains the connection between AI and data.
Module 2 deals with risk, regulation, and governance. In addition to typical risks such as misinformation, bias, dependencies, and security and reputation risks, you will get an introduction to the EU AI Act with its risk classes and prohibited AI systems. In addition, there are relevant data protection guidelines, handling sensitive data, ethical guidelines, and concrete recommendations for action for the safe and compliant use of AI tools in everyday working life.
Module 3 shows the benefits and challenges of AI integration using practical examples from administration, HR, marketing, sales, IT, and specialist departments, and names efficiency potentials, quality gains, and innovation opportunities as well as organizational and cultural challenges. Module 4 looks at developments and trends in the field of AI. The course is rounded off by further information with a collection of links and a glossary, as well as a final test.
The course runs in the OnlineCampus of the TÜV NORD Akademie and is immediately available. After purchase, you will receive an access link. The course license is valid for one year, i.e., 365 days. Only browser-based tools are used; no installations are required in advance. You need an internet connection with at least a 6000 DSL line, a current web browser, and an audio-capable device.
No special prior knowledge is required. On completion, you will receive a certificate of participation from the TÜV NORD Akademie; the successful completion also serves as proof of your AI competence in accordance with Article 4 of the AI Regulation at a basic level. On request, the provider also offers the e-learning in English; for companies, there are individual license models and in-house training.
