Sales Management

In the compulsory module Distribution Policy, you learn the basics, and you choose five elective modules from CRM, B2B and B2C Marketing, Pricing Policy, or Online Marketing. I find the structure flexible: 100% online, between three and twelve months, with tutors at your side. At the end, you get a certificate of achievement and a certificate and are ready for Sales, Business Development, or Key Account Management.

About this online course

Basic information

The specialization course "Vertriebsmanagement" shows you how to strategically structure sales channels and systematically build customer relationships. In the mandatory module Distribution Policy, you learn how companies find the right sales channel for their customers. You then choose five additional modules based on your interests. Options include Customer Relationship Management, Business-to-Consumer and Business-to-Business Marketing, the three marketing instruments Product Policy, Pricing Policy, and Communication Policy, as well as Online Marketing and Marketing Ethics.

The course is 100% online. You receive digital learning scripts, also printed for an additional fee, plus optional video lectures, online seminars, an AI tutor, and discussion forums. For each module you choose, you write an assignment with approx. ten multiple-choice questions and five to seven knowledge questions. In addition, there are at least two application tasks from sales practice. The standard study duration is six months with five to ten hours of effort per week, extendable to twelve months free of charge.

Admission is granted to those who have a university entrance qualification or completed vocational training, or have at least five years of professional experience. If you do not meet these requirements, a case-by-case decision is possible. In my opinion, the course is particularly suitable for anyone who wants to develop sales strategies or manage sales teams. It also helps you advance in expanding customer potential, as well as in sales management, key account management, or business development.

After passing the exams, you receive a transcript with grades and a certificate without grades, both in German and English. The course gives you 21 CEU (Continuing Education Units). On request, the DAM issues you a confirmation of 9 ECTS. The modules can also be credited toward the Certified Marketing Manager (DAM) course.

The distance learning course is approved by the ZFU, the State Central Office for Distance Learning. Throughout the entire duration, tutors and the DAM office team accompany you. In discussion forums, you also exchange ideas with other participants. I find it practical that you set your own learning pace entirely, whether at the workplace or at home in the evenings.
