The live online seminar "KI in der öffentlichen Verwaltung I" shows you the possible applications of artificial intelligence in public administration. Haufe Akademie offers it as a continuing education course under Article 4 of the AI Act for the demonstration of AI competence.
The first block covers the basics of artificial intelligence in the public sector. You clarify what an AI is and what it can do. Then it covers what AI can achieve in the public sector and where it is used.
The second block focuses on the legal framework. You get the basics of the new AI Act, i.e. the EU AI Act. In addition, there are the basics of data protection under EU GDPR and the question of what an AI is allowed to do.
The schedule is designed for one day, each from 09:00 to 17:00. Work is done through interactive dialogue using concrete AI implementation examples. As speakers, the academy names Stefan Müller and Mascha Völker.
The seminar is recommended for (junior) managers and decision-makers as well as professionals in the public sector. This includes anyone who wants to develop a basic understanding of AI. Strategic use in your own organization is also part of it.
After successful completion, you will receive an Open Badge, i.e. a digital certificate of participation. After registration, information, downloads and extra services are available in your online learning environment. The seminar can also be booked as a module of the course "Geprüfte:r KI-Expert:in in der öffentlichen Verwaltung".
If you want to go deeper, you can then take the second part. The academy recommends attending both coordinated webinars in this order.
